Ken Picard is an Award Winning Journalist who is a senior staff writer at Seven Days where he has worked since 2002. His journalism has garnered him national recognition. A Long Island, N.Y., native who moved to Vermont from Missoula, Mont., he was hired in 2002 as Seven Days’ first staff writer, to help create a news department. Ken has since won numerous regional and national awards.
Governor Howard Dean is an American physician and politician who was the 79th Governor of Vermont from 1991 to 2003 and was the longest-serving Governor in the history of the state. He ran for the Democratic nomination for the President of the United States in the 2004 election and served as chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2005 to 2011. In 2004 Governor Dean founded the group Democracy for America to help like-minded candidates get elected to political office.
